A historical house with stories of several generations... An 18th century manor-house with 19th wing, both built on the earlier 17th century construction.
Private chapel decorated with glazed tiles (azulejos) and gilded wood of the 18th century Portuguese style.

There are three twin bedded rooms and one double bedded room, named, Madressilva, Rosa, Pervinca and Giesta, wild flowers of the region. All with ensuite bathroom and central heating. The bedrooms overlook the courtyard.
Guests have access to the balcony where breakfast may be served and to a comfortable sitting room with easy chairs.

Casa dos Vargos is conveniently situated between the historic town of Tomar (15Km) headquarters of Knights Templar, established in 1162, UNESCO World Heritage site of the Convento de Cristo, and the little town of Torres Novas (9Km).

One hour drive from Lisboa or Coimbra and also near Fátima, Alcobaça, Batalha, Óbidos, Nazaré, Castelo do Bode Dam and natural reserves like Paul and Boquilobo's Natural Reserve and Serra d'Aire Natural Park. Near Golegã (18Km), known by its International Fair and Exhibition of the Lusitano Horse, in November.
